Luella was born out of the need to create a quality brand to supplement retailers’ forward order collections during any season. Producing small collections on a monthly basis, as well as offering perennially popular Luella styles throughout the year, allows retailers’ returning customers to purchase something new each time they visit their favorite store. The design process is led by Alison Townshend, an experienced fashion retailer, who works with a team from across our sales and merchandising platforms to provide a full 360 °perspective when it comes to creating collections that will inspire retailers as well as discerning shoppers.
Our one size brand ensures that stockists buy what they need, which means there is no waste in terms of not being able to sell very small or larger sizes. We also manufacture at sustainable levels, re-ordering where necessary rather than overproducing. Our commitment to reducing our environmental impact includes increasing the use of sustainably sourced yarns as well as organic textiles in the production of our garments. We endeavor to recycle all packaging associated with our activities and to reduce our energy consumption in our UK based operations.
We have also focused on sustainability by committing to the Planet Mark Start 3-step programme.
