United Nude is a story that started with a broken heart.  Architect Rem D Koolhaas (not to be confused with his uncle, the great architect Rem Koolhaas) tried to get back his girlfriend by downsizing architecture to its most vulnerable scale, that of a woman’s foot.  He then got together with seventh generation shoemaker Galahad Clark to launch United Nude in 2003.  Dreams became reality when their first shoe, the Möbius, developed with the expert advice of Sergio Rossi and technical shoemaker Maurizio Martignano, was recognized as a design classic.  As well as being inspired by the great shoemaking traditions, United Nude is at the forefront of technical advances in shoemaking, regularly integrating 3D printing and other innovations.

Since then, United Nude has led the field in turning out architectural footwear.  Positioned at the intersection between design and fashion, United Nude is sold very successfully in over 50 countries worldwide.  Flagship stores in Amsterdam, London, New York, Vienna, Tel Aviv, Seoul, and Tokyo represent the deeply upheld United Nude ethos.  The brand is now seeking to sell numbers with the aid of new sales representatives. SS18 is the first commercially priced United Nude collection.
